First visit, welcome, you are our special guest!
Visiting a church for the first time can be intimidating. We at Bible Baptist Church strive to make everyone feel welcome, no matter what their background may be. When you enter our church, there will be men, women, and lots of children all around waiting to meet and greet you. We have a welcome center that is in the front foyer. Stop in so we can greet you and answer any questions. We also have another gift for you and the kids after church! Don't forget to stop back by! God loves us and we want to share that love with you as our special guest.
If you arrive at 9:30am, you are invited to eat chocolate chip or plain pancakes made fresh. At do most 9:45 am we gather in the sanctuary for church announcements, Bible responsive reading and prayer. At 10:00am we break to go to Sunday School. We have classes for all ages and two adult classes, one being an all ladies class. There is no problem if your family would rather stay together. During the service Pastor Chris likes to welcome all our guest. The ushers give you a special welcome packet that tells you more about our church. There are even gifts inside. Don't forget to stop back in the welcome center your additional gifts! Q: What Is your service like? Our worship services are lively and directed to give God the glory. We use the old red hymn book and sing old songs of praise. Our church is full of talented singers and musicians, so we have a great choir with accompaniment instruments. We use the bass, trumpets, flutes, clarinets, saxophones and two styles of piano. We are old fashion and conservative with our music, but it is not dead. The preaching is geared to invoke thought and to stimulate people to serve God. Pastor Chris also presents the gospel so that those who do not know God can be saved. The service is concluded with an invitation to those who made personal decisions to follow Christ and/or to walk more closely with Him. Q: Where do I park? Guest may find a special spot located in the parking lot in front of the church. At times our church is so overflowing, you may have to use our parking lot located across the street. We have made a special crosswalk to help insure your safety as you attend services at Bible Baptist Church. If there is bad weather we have a underpass in which you can let your family out and then park. Q: What do I wear? There is not a strict dress code to attend our services. Our church believes in giving God our best, whatever that might be. While our leadership dresses in suits and dresses, we understand that many come to our church on vacation and sometimes forget to bring more formal clothes. Please know, we’re more concerned with meeting your Spiritual needs than focusing on what you wear. So just come! Q: Do you have child care! As soon as you enter into our foyer, you will see our nursery door to your left. We have moms and teens scheduled to watch your baby or toddler. Feel free to stay with them, but you can feel good about leaving them knowing safety for your child is out utmost priority. We use a paging system, like the restaurants. We log your child's name in and issue you a pager. In the event that we need you to come to the nursery, the pager will vibrate (this also protects your child from someone other than you picking them up). We also have a live service feed for the nursery, so if you have to stay with your child, you can enjoy the service via the TV. Q: What do you offer for children? On Sunday morning we offer Sunday school classes for all ages. On every Sunday, but the first Sunday of the month, ages 4-8 have a special KIDS church. As we take up the offering, the child gets to bring their offering to the front of the church and place it in a balance (oversize set of scales). Then they are dismissed to a class room in the back of the church where they have a Bible lesson on their level. This is a voluntary class, so if your children are more comfortable staying with you, they are welcome. Q: I am a new believer, do you have any classes or programs for me? Yes, we have a weekly new believers class. It's 11 weeks and includes a certificate of completion. If you miss a particular week, you can wait till it comes around again, and attend. Classes are on Sunday's, at 6pm and are led by Gary and Candy Dyer. We also have a great resource that you can download and read on your own that will answer some of those hard questions.
